Who We Are
Founded and run by media artist Jorge Ayala-Isaza, The Art Shop bridges creative practice and curatorial inquiry. With a background in documentary media, cultural research, and design, the platform operates independently but in dialogue with a broader network of artists, researchers, and printmakers.
What We Do
Commissioning and Collaboration
We invite artists to create original artworks: posters, book covers, and limited-edition prints that critically reinterpret visual culture.
Curation and Exhibition
We organize thematic collections and curated releases—both online and in physical spaces—that foreground contemporary design, cultural memory, and political imagination.
Editioning and Distribution
Based in Canada and shipping internationally, The Art Shop collaborates with artists and printers to produce small-batch works shaped by a curatorial process. Released as limited editions or open runs, each piece reflects our aim to engage with visual culture critically and with care.
